Close to - It is always close to fishing waters within the Leksand-Insjön fishing area. A well-developed network of forest roads makes it easy to get to most waters. For various reasons, certain roads may be closed at times. Closed road barriers must be respected. As a fisherman, you have a great responsibility when using these roads by not causing damage. If there is a risk of the road being damaged during use, refrain from driving and take a walk instead. The more roads that are damaged, the more roads will be closed in the future. Respect this and use the roads wisely.
Snowmobile riding - For information about trails and rules, contact Leksands snowmobile club and follow the nature protection agency's public right of way. All snowmobile riding on plowed roads is absolutely prohibited.
Snowmobile shelters and boat launch sites - When visiting the snowmobile shelters, it is important to pick up all trash after yourself and take it home, and to make fires wisely. It is absolutely prohibited to cut down trees in the forest for firewood. At the boat launch sites, it is important to park so that other visitors can use the launch site and to park so that public traffic is not disturbed. Keep the site clean and tidy, leave the site as you would like to find it.
Fishing rules - Fishing rules are available on a separate sheet as these can change from year to year. This sheet is available from fishing license agents and on information boards at the fishing waters. For digital fishing licenses on iFiske, the rules are always available at www.iFiske.se and on the fishing license. See also Leksand-Insjöns FVO's website. All waters in this area require a fishing license that must be carried and shown upon request.
Things to keep in mind when fishing - Nature is only on loan to us and we should save a little for future generations. We cannot therefore behave in any way we want when we are there. The right of public access is a gift that also obliges. Not to fish to fill the freezer, but only to take the fish you eat for the day. In this way, we achieve more sustainable fishing for the joy of many others. Our lakes are not an inexhaustible resource. Do not throw fishing lines and garbage into nature, our animals and birds are harmed by this.
Fishing licenses and information - Fishing licenses are also available from approximately 30 fishing license agents and on our website. For information, contact our fishing license agents and fishing inspectors who are available on our website and on information boards at the fishing waters.
