Skärvsjön is a relatively untouched lake despite long human activity. The lake is 154 ha and the surroundings are dominated by forest land. The lake has a varied bottom topography and the maximum depth is about 20 meters. There is the possibility of swimming and fishing around the lake. The lake is mainly inhabited by pike, perch and roach, but there are also whitefish, pike-perch and roach.

Sedan 1978 förvaltar föreningen fisket i Skärvsjön. Sjön fungerar främst som rekreationskälla. Sportfisket är ett viktigt komplement till områdets övriga sevärdheter, men är inte omfattande. Föreningens främsta mål är att gynna vattenkvalité, fiske och fiskfauna.
