Tämnarens FVOF is a fishing water that belongs to both Heby and Tierp municipalities, which are located in Uppsala County. Lake Tämnaren is a relatively shallow lake with an average depth of about 100-130 cm. However, the lake is rich in fish and offers fishing for mainly zander, pike and perch.
Winter fishing is the time that attracts the most fishermen, but also time without ice works well, but it is best if you have access to a boat.
During the summer months, the water level can sometimes be very low due to too little precipitation. This means that fishing, especially with a casting rod, is difficult. It is recommended to check the conditions regarding water level before purchasing a fishing license.
Several fishing competitions are held annually.
