Now a unique fishing license is open for trout on the "Dry stretch"!
The County Administrative Board has granted specific exemptions for trout fishing in "Torrfåran" (the old river channel of the Umeälven) during the period 15 September to 30 September. Other Fishing license sales are formally closed for the season. The fishing is part of a study that we within the Umeälven Forsfiske area have been working on for several years and where public fishing is part of the work. However, specific rules apply for this particular fishing, including mandatory reporting and fishing may only be done with barbless hooks. Read more when you buy the fishing license in the webshop.
Other fishing licenses are closed for the season. The stretches "Baggböleören" and "Öringskanalen" will reopen on November 1st.
Fishing license times during the year
The stretches "Baggböleören" and "Öringskanalen" opened for the season on varying dates in March/April and are open for the first period until September 14, then they are closed between September 15 and October 31. The second period opens on November 1 and closes on November 30.
The "Torrfåran" stretch opened for the season on May 20 and is open until September 14. On this stretch, 4 different fishing permits are offered. Season permits for adults (valid until September 1) and daily permits for adults, then season permits for youth (valid until September 1) and daily permits for youth are provided.
