All fishing license sales are now closed for the season. We will reopen in the spring.
Our hope is to be able to open during the first part of April. It depends on when spring starts to approach.

Fishing license times during the year
The "Baggböleören" and "Öringskanalen" stretches opened for the season on varying dates in April and are open for the first period until September 14, then they are closed between September 15 and October 31. The second period opens on November 1 and closes on November 30.
The "Torrfåran" stretch opened for the season on May 20 and is open until September 14. On this stretch, 4 different fishing permits are offered. Season permits for adults (valid until September 1) and daily permits for adults, then season permits for youth (valid until September 1) and daily permits for youth are provided.

Umeälvens Forsfiskeområde offers free fishing for young anglers. Please read and following the general fishing rules that apply for the area. Rules specifically for children and adolescents:
Free fishing for children and adolescents up to the age of 12.
Only in company with a keeper / adult / person who holds a valid fishing license (on his quota)
In the municipality's own fishing waters; Umeå City Fishing Area - part of Umeälven, Nydalasjön and Sofiehemsdammen. fishing is free for children up to and including 12 years of age, but the guardian/adult must redeem a fishing license in their name.
