VÄLENS FVO
Välen is a clear water lake with an area of 266 hectares, with a maximum depth of 18 meters - the average depth is 4 meters. The lake also has several islands and lobes. The lake, which is located just northwest of Fagerhult, is home to a strong pike population where fish between 3-5 kg are common. Välen also has the potential to catch larger fish, for example up to 15 kg have been caught. But to get in touch with the larger fish, patience, knowledge and a good dose of luck are required as usual. Larger pike perch were last caught in April 2025 from Bolmen, but it has also been caught on 4 previous occasions. The perch has also developed very positively in recent years and most of the larger ones are caught often. The lake's bottom structure consists of alternating blue mud, soft bottoms and stones. The lake vegetation is sparse in most of the lake with the exception of the shallow bays in the northern parts of the lake where the aquatic vegetation spreads to a greater extent. The shores of the lake are predominantly solid with elements of blocks and boulders, especially along the eastern side. The surroundings of Välen consist mainly of coniferous forest, but pastures and deciduous forest are also common. The opportunities for fishing from land are generally good, especially along the eastern side of the lake. In addition to Välen, there are 2 smaller bodies of water with associated fishing called Vrången and Skälsbäcks gölen. Wind shelter with fireplace is available for use on Tallön. Note: waste must be taken home! Young people up to 15 years of age fish for free.

Boat ramp for loading boats is available at Välenbadets Camping - drive directly to the right at the campsite parking and it is 70-80 meters away. Car/boat trailer may be parked next to it. Be careful when loading because shallow rocks are at the ramp/bay.
RENT boats: 2 boats are available for rent at Välenbadets camping per hour or full day. The boats are booked at the reception at Välenbadets camping.
