Gingri-Öns fishing area is located about 150 km north of Borås from the outlet of Lake Marsjön to the highway bridge in Gingri. The Viskan winds its way through an environment of national interest. The Viskan flows through both calm and flowing water. It is incredibly beautiful out along the river where you can sneak up to try to fool the big pike or the vigilant trout. Ingelabäcken and Fölabäcken are also included in the fishing area (See map).
Littering out along the river is completely prohibited. Due to littering out along the river and vandalism of barbecue areas, certain areas are closed until further notice. See signage out along the river.
Remember that the fishing license holder has an obligation to inform themselves about the applicable regulations and rules. Violations of these will result in the immediate forfeiture of the right to fish. Always have your fishing license or proof available to show to the supervisors. Regulations and rules can be found on information boards out along the river. The fish conservation area is also included in the Borås city municipal fishing license.
