Rapids, rapids and sel follow each other along the entire stretch. Vojmån is about 65 km long and falls 80 m. Some stretches can be easily reached by car. The area is a very nice canoeing water.
In Vojmån, it is mainly fly and spin fishing that gives the best catch. Grayling fishing is considered the best fishing in Vojmån, but normally during the last week of June, whitefish is especially interesting for fly fishing. In the river you can also catch large, fine trout and in the sel you can catch pike or perch on spoon lures or wobblers. Fishing is excellent all summer in sel and flowing water. In winter you can ice-fish in the sel for perch, roach and pike.
There is a rich birdlife along the river.
There are otters and beavers along the river.
