Resele fishing area can be found in Västernorrland, Sollefteå municipality, upstream of the Ångermanälven after National Road 90, about twenty kilometers northwest of Sollefteå. The fishing area has many nice and exciting fishing waters to offer both summer and winter for fishermen who want to experience beautiful nature in a peaceful environment. Several of the waters are stocked annually with valuable fish.

The area includes the part of the Ångermanälven river within the FVO, the lakes Prästorrsjön, Rämmasjön, Fisksjön, Sels-Stensjön, Mjösjön and Selsjön, as well as the ponds Stor-Koltjärn, Orrsjötjärn, Sultenabborrtjärn, Lill-Skavtjärn, Stor-Skavtjärn and Rämmasjötjärn.

Trout and rainbow trout fishing can be done in Prästorrsjön and Rämmasjötjärn , which are easily accessible in summer via forest roads. In winter, these waters are most easily reached by snowmobile. Sels-Stensjön is the most easily accessible lake within Resele fvo, located close to a public road. You can fish for char and rainbow trout there all year round. Support stocking in the above-mentioned waters takes place continuously every year.

For the fisherman's convenience, there are a number of windbreaks strategically placed and at Sels-Stensjön there is also a jetty and toilet that are adapted for the disabled.
Very good perch and pike fishing is offered in most waters all year round. In Sulten-abborrtjärn and Stor-Skavtjärn, trout have previously been planted so there may still be an occasional trout there.
Crayfish fishing in the Ångermanälven River is not currently offered as the crayfish plague has wiped out the stock.
