Rödsvattnets FVOF

Welcome to Rödsvattnets fvo.
The lake contains: Perch, Pike, Zander (planted), Roach, Tench (and Eel).
Fishing for eel is not permitted because eel is protected.
All proceeds from fishing license sales go towards purchasing and restocking solitary pike perch.
This is done every 3-4 years and has been going on for 20 years.

Therefore, there are pike-perch in different size classes.
The lake is known for its large pike and every year pike over 10 kg are caught.
Large tench are found in the areas with rich vegetation.

The lake has a pH value of around 6.5 and is a municipal water source for Orust municipality. Water quality is monitored regularly by the municipality. Beavers have been present in the lake since the 1990s and are active late evenings and nights.
