NOTE: The road between Tärendö and Masugnsbyn (road 867) is now fully repaired and in good condition.

Saittarova Lautakoski Fisheries Conservation Area manages fishing waters in the vicinity of the villages. There are two lakes where rainbow trout and trout are stocked annually, Tunturisalmijärvi and Kivijärvi. Fishing is prohibited in the lakes between 1 October and mid-March. The premiere and opening date will be announced here in mid-February.

Fishing waters are also available in the Tärendö and Kalix rivers with salmon, grayling, trout, etc. In addition, there are a large number of lakes with perch, pike, roach, etc.

In the Kalix River, the area starts below Pahakurkkio down to just before Vaenvaara on the eastern side. In the Tärendö River, we manage the waters on the western side where not the entire river is within the area.

In this area, there is one or more "put and take" waters.

Free fishing for children and adolescents up to the age of 15.
Only in company with a keeper / adult / person who holds a valid fishing license (on his quota)
The keeper must have taken note of and approved the applicable fishing rules and regulations.

Saittarova Lautakoski fishery conservation area manages fishing waters in the vicinity of the villages. In Saittarova there is a shop that is open 24 hours a day. The store is staffed weekdays 11-17, other times you log in with Bank ID.
