Fishing on Sävedalsvatnet takes place between April 1 and September 30 for salmon and trout. From Ugglumsbron to Gamlestansbron, it is permitted to fish from 1 October to 31 March for other species. Salmon and trout are protected during the period and must be reintroduced. The most famous fishing spots are Kyrkströmmen in Partille and Ugglumsströmmen in Sävedalen, but also in the deep hollows downstream of Brodalsbäcken, the salmon usually remain during the summer.
