The lake is 4.8 meters deep, has an area of 0.95 square kilometers and is located 102.2 meters above sea level. During test fishing, perch, bream, pike and roach have been caught in the lake.
At the northern tip of Skepen there is a swimming area with a bathing jetty, a barbecue area with tables and benches and a dry toilet. At the swimming area it is easy to launch smaller boats from a boat trailer.
Skepen is part of the main catchment area of the Nättrabyån River.
