Skräbeån is a small, beautiful river that flows through Bromölla municipality in northeastern Skåne. It stretches between the magnificent Ivösjön in the north and the sea in the south. In the clear water, large sea trout and whitefish swim, both of which offer outstanding sport fishing! The average weight of sea trout is about 4 kg and the world's largest whitefish was actually caught here. Yes, that was the case until 2018, when a whitefish weighing over 6 kg was caught, but it was when fishing in the lake and therefore not in flowing water, where Skräbeån still ranks at the top!
The entire river is about 5 kilometers long and we sell fishing licenses to the public on two stretches of about 1 kilometer each. The upper stretch is located in Bromölla and the lower one in Nymölla where the river meets the sea.
In Skräbeån, trout fishing is permitted with fly, spin and angling. During the whitefish fishing in November-December, angling and fly are permitted. We welcome both young and old, beginners and experienced to try their luck at fishing!

History
The Skräbeån Fishing Conservation Association was formed in 1952 and has since then actively worked to promote sport fishing in Skräbeån.
Purpose
The fishing rights are leased by the Skräbeån River Fisheries Conservation Area Association with the aim of offering recreational fishing to the public through card sales. The funds received are used for fisheries conservation measures in the river and to improve service for anglers.
