Welcome to fishing in Smedjeån and Edenbergaån!
Three kilometers of exciting fishing waters that are home to Halland's national fish, trout and salmon, as well as chub, ide, perch and pike. Smedjeån and Edenbergaån are located in Laholm Municipality in South Halland.

During the time when the concept of recreational fishing did not exist, a number of mills were built to harness the energy in Smedjeån. This meant that the salmon were closed off from their natural spawning grounds. The salmon ladders at the mill dams now give migratory fish access to spawning grounds in small streams and tributaries. Smolt production in these nature's own nurseries provides rewards in the form of exciting trout and salmon fishing.
