The Stora Bygdeträskets Fiskevårdområde covers 7,000 hectares of water in the forested areas of Burträsk parish. The area is crossed by national road 364, which connects the cities of Umeå and Skellefteå. Service towns within the area are Bygdsiljum and Burträsk with a bank, post office, shops, camping, health center and all the services required to get around.

Fishing waters of the most diverse kinds, from small, inconspicuous streams to Västerbotten province's largest lake, Stora Bygdeträsket, which offers you as an angler a variety of opportunities to engage in the fishing that interests you, with the typical fish species of the area such as pike, perch, grayling and trout.
