Svansjöarnas FVO, which is located in the scenic southwestern Värmland, includes the lakes Ämmeskogsjön , Västersvan, Mellansvan, Östersvan, Eldan and Lången . The lake system is part of Lillälven's water system , a water system that begins in the nature reserve Glaskogen and meanders through the lakes within our fisheries conservation area to finally end in Byälven .
The lakes have plenty of fish, especially the Oyster Swan, where you will find almost all varieties of whitefish (roach, pike, aspen, birch, etc.) and in addition, the pike are many, large and willing to chop! There are also large pike in the other lakes. The record, as far as we know, is a 16kg pike taken in Mellansvan. The perch can also be large, the largest, as far as we know, weighed just over 3kg.
The Swan Lakes FVO was founded in 1991 following the initiative of a number of fishing rights owners who considered that fishing within Svanskog and Långserud's parishes needed help to develop and improve.
The fishery conservation area has about 400 members.
