The area covers the Svartån from Öringebron in Boxholm municipality down to Burensköldsbron in central Mjölby. Svartån is considered by many anglers to be one of the country's best angling waters and it is here that the largest chubs and roach are caught. There is also a rich population of other fish species such as perch, pike and eel.
