Tärendö community association is one of the largest individual water owners in the Kalix River and owns the waters around and around the world-unique Bifurcation. From Roikoniva (the power line) south of Saarisuando past Tärendö to Tievakoski at the Sveaskogsgränsen border just south of Männikkö By following the Kalix River (approx. 32 km). From Tärendöholmen to the northern part of Jukkassuando (to Lovikka village water) following the Tärendö River (approx. 20 km). Of the rivers, the middle part of Narkån (Naarkausjoki) is the largest, and some fishing can also be done in Äihämäjoki. The area is poor in lakes, but in Äihämäjärvi and Halinkojärvi fishing for pike and perch can be done.

The waters contain the common species of fish found in the area such as salmon, trout, pike, perch, grayling, whitefish, ide, etc., but salmon fishing is the one that the fisherman sees as the big challenge. The supply of salmon is best in the Kalix River, and the popular grayling and trout fishing is also available along the entire stretch of the river. With the route of the road network, you can easily reach your favorite spot, except for the northern part of the Tärendö River, which lacks longitudinal roads. Barbecue areas are available at several different places along the rivers, and overnight cabins after the Tärendö River.

Free fishing for children and adolescents up to the age of 15.
