The area is limited towards Vänern by an imaginary line between the outermost tip of the harbor pier and west towards Ekudden, then the area goes upstream all the way to E20's bridge over Tidanån. The prohibition signs against access to the dam facilities at Mariefors and Kvarnen must be respected. There is a lot of fish in the whole area. Mention can be made of the pike, which comes immigrating from Lake Vänern to spawn in the lower streams, and it is a local population that returns every year to spawn (see the regulations for what applies). Perch and pike are common. Then we have a very good population of Aspen that return to spawn every year (see the regulations for what applies). Whitefish such as Roach, Bream, Benlöja, Färn, Id, Björkna and sole are common.
