Alstern is a lake in Uppvidinge municipality in Småland and is part of the main catchment area of the Alsterån River.
The lake is 24 meters deep with many small bays. Which makes it well suited for both trolling and casting fishing. The lake is drained by the Alsterån river, which gives it clear, fresh water. During test fishing, a large number of fish species have been caught, including perch, pike, bream, zander, roach, whitefish and whitefish. A boat ramp has been built out on the pinudden in 2020.
Sjöasjö is similar with bays and varying depths between 2-5m, but not a good place to put in a boat. In the middle of Sjöasjö there is a stream that runs through to the Alstern, it is important to be vigilant, when the ice sets it can be tricky.
Welcome!
