The fishing areas are easily accessible and popular with families with children. The area is the most catch-safe fishing water that Övre Ljungan has to offer. In Hålen and several other places you can fish with almost a 100% catch guarantee both summer and winter. Ljungan and Fuan have made the area well-known in fishing circles. In total, the stretch covers 30 kilometers. Fishing for grayling is considered very attractive, but large trout also occur in the streams. Åsarna FVOF has flowing waters Fuan, Ljungan, Herrvadströmmen and Jormenån. The lakes Hålen, Äldern and Lillnästeln where all waters are very easy to fish.
Hålen and Lillnästeln are among the more fish-rich lakes with perch, pike and roach. Documented larger fish in the last 10 years are: pike 14.4kg taken on trolling in 2018 in Lake Hålen, trout, 4.8 kg, char 2.2 kg, grayling 1.2 kg, whitefish 4.5 kg, perch 1.2 kg.
In Ljungan and Hålen, trout and char in sizes 3-6 hg are continuously released. Åsarna FVOF provides the opportunity to rent boats for fishing in connection with Lake Hålen.
