About the water
Lake Bakvattnet is located in the small mountain village of Bakvattnet on county road 689 in Krokom municipality, about 110 km northwest of Östersund. You get the beautiful view of the Ansättfjällen mountains when you fish from a boat or ice-fish in winter. Popular lake among fishermen both summer and winter. The lake has trout and char. Boats are available for rent on site.

Bakvattnets Fiskevårdsområdesförening arbetar för att främja tillväxten av röding och öring genom kontinuerlig inplantering av lokal stam. Föreningen vill verka för att besökande sportfiskare på ett enkelt sätt skall få möjlighet att lösa fiskekort på plats, via sms eller via webben.
