Borrsjöåns FVO

The Borrsjöån fishing conservation area offers fishing in a mostly forest environment in the Borrsjöån and Storån waters with tributaries, as well as in lakes and ponds. The watercourses flow through a varied environment such as forest and primeval forest, upland areas, bogs and wetlands, agricultural landscapes and in the lower parts of the system pleasant residential areas with several ponds in a cultural landscape. Long stretches of quiet flows in calm waters are combined with hedges and a number of streams in slightly hilly terrain. This gives the nature-interested angler good opportunities for exciting experiences away from noise and congestion. Fisheries conservation projects are underway in the upper part of the system with a focus on the conservation of the species-specific Borrsjöå trout, as well as the restoration of spawning grounds and wetlands.
