Boskvarnasjön is a deep lake with an average depth of 5.5 meters and a maximum depth of almost 30 meters. The water is slightly silvery in character and is surrounded by beautiful nature with rock outcrops and forests. The bottom consists mostly of stone.
The fish species that are found are pike, perch, whitefish, zander, roach and roach. A few occasional specimens of eel have occurred. The most common is the catch of pike and perch. The pike is coarse in the lake and rarely weighs under 2 kg. It is therefore a little more difficult to catch.
When it comes to bait, spinners in gold and copper and gill colors are the perch's favorite. Zander and pike prefer wobblers in natural colors that resemble roach, whitefish and perch. Pike are also often taken on silver spoon lures such as Utö and Atom.
In Lillesjön, which is part of Boskvarnasjön, it is the pike that dominates. Lillesjön is at its deepest about 14 meters. It may be worth going into Lillesjön on days when the bite is not so good in the larger part. This is because the pike here seem to have a different bite period than those in the larger part of Boskvarnasjön.
