Bure Kåtalidens FVO is located in the eastern part of Sorsele municipality. The area begins about ten kilometers from Sorsele community in the direction of Arvidsjaur and extends on both the northern and southern sides of the E45.
The two largest lakes are Fårträsket and Buresjön. Other lakes in the area are Västra and Östra Olsträsket, Norra and Södra Stenträsket and Per-Olsträsket. Several small ponds are scattered throughout the fishery management area.
The largest and most interesting flowing water from angling point of view is Gargån, which winds through the area for a distance of about 25 km. Of the streams, Storbäcken and Fårträskbäcken can be mentioned, which flow into Buresjön and Gargån, respectively.
Most of the larger lakes are accessible by car, making them easily accessible. Gargån is accessible by car in a few places, but mainly flows through areas of pure wilderness character.
Most lakes have a population of perch and pike, and in the Gargården there are also grayling and trout.
