The fishery management area is part of Lake Uttran and Utterkalven, which are located in Botkyrka municipality. The terrain around the lake is residential areas, forests and mountains. Lake Uttran is a fairly large lake and is 16 meters deep at its deepest.
In Uttran there are perch, bream, bream, pike, zander and gerbil. The perch population in particular is both in good condition and has large individuals.
Please note that not the entire lake is included in the fishing license, see the boundaries on the map. The lakes are relatively eutrophic and are not considered to reach the set environmental status goals on time, especially not with regard to eutrophication, mercury and certain brominated flame retardants.
Despite this, measured values are below the limits for what is considered to be suitable food for fish from the lakes.
Uttran's water flows via the Tumba River into Lake Albysjön to Lake Mälaren and then into the Baltic Sea.
