Fishing waters belonging to Kiasjön and other lakes FVO
Feresjön, Kiasjön, Björkshultsjön, the ponds in Pikaböl and Badebodaån between Kiasjön and Björkshultssjön.
Kiasjön has an area of 220 ha and is located above the highest coastline at an altitude of 169 m above sea level. The lake has a maximum depth of 18 m, an average depth of 5.4 m and is classified as nutrient-poor (oligotrophic). During test fishing in 2008 in Kiasjön, 9 fish species were caught; perch, zander, pike, tench, bream, roach, brill and rudd. Eels and roach are also found in the lake. Pike is a clear favorite among anglers.
Feresjön has an area of 45 ha and is located above the highest coastline at an altitude of 175 m above sea level in Högsby and Uppvidinge municipality. The lake has a maximum depth of 14 m and an average depth of 3.7 m. Feresjön is a forest lake dominated by perch, but there are also roach, bream, pike, tench, rudd and rudd.
Björkhultssjön is an extension of Badebodaån in Björkshult. The lake has a very fast water turnover. In Björkhultssjön there are perch, roach, bream, pike, rudd, tench, eel and rudd.
In Badebodaån there are perch, minnow, trout, chub, roach, bream, pike, rudd, tench, eel and rudd.
Hemsjön is a typical humus forest lake, about 6 ha in size, located in hilly terrain. When the water level is high, the lake is connected to the southern part of the lake; Uppsjön. The shores consist of soft white moss (so-called gungfly) and the vegetation consists of porcini and birch closest to the water. The most common fish are pike and perch.
