Tjärnen ligger mycket vackert, ca 500 m norr om Åre Björnen centrum och med en storslagen utsikt mot Åreskutan.
Grillplatser och vindskydd finnes vid tjänen på östra sidan langs gamla vägen.
Årebjörnens längdåkningsspår är dragna runt tjärnen.
