There are 4 lakes and about 30 ponds in the area, all of which are home to trout, char and some also have perch.
Riceden is an excellent fly fishing area where trout of varying sizes can be caught. The fishery management area borders the Jougdadalen nature reserve to the west. There are a number of shelters with barbecue areas in the area.
Fishing tips
In summer, fishing is at its best from midsummer onwards in all waters. The hatching of "rock" mayflies usually provides extraordinary dry fly fishing around midsummer. All imitations of sea sand dragonflies are viable. Small spinners and wobblers work well when fishing in lakes and ponds.
In winter, ice fishing for char and trout gives the best chances of catching them just after the ice forms and until late spring and winter.
Accessibility
The area is well signposted and reference maps are also distributed. A large part of the lakes are easily accessible by car. One of the lakes, Skröveltjärn, is handicapped accessible with a wheelchair ramp. Boat transport between Klumpvattnet and Yttre Långvattnet.
