Skärsboda fishing conservation area allows fishing in Skärvingen - a small, barren clear water lake with a maximum depth of just over 20 meters, located northeast of Lake Nömmen.
The shores are dominated by rocks and stones, there are basically no reeds or water lilies. A thousand-breed population of perch dominates the lake. For those who give Skärvingen a chance and spend some time in the lake, there is definitely the possibility of catching larger specimens, as perch over 1.5 kilos have been among the catches in the lake. Fish of that size are, however, few and difficult to catch.
The pike population is not particularly numerous, but the fish maintain a nice average size of around 2 kilos. Other species in the lake are roach, brill, but there are also sparse roach and tench. When fishing in the lake, it is not uncommon to see birds such as great crested grebe, great crested grebe and if you are lucky even an osprey. Skärvingen has two islands and relatively much of the lake's shores are built up with summer cottages.
Spinning and angling are the dominant methods among anglers who come to the lake.
