The fishery management area covers approximately 3500 ha of water in the lakes Ullvettern (approx. 2200 ha), Frövettern, Bergsjön, Hyttsjön, Kväggen, Åsjön, Stora Grytingen and Lilla Grytingen. Our lakes are typical Bergslag lakes with everything from rocky shores to reed coves. Clean water with a light humus color and good fishing for mainly zander, pike and perch.
The fishery management area is part of the Bergslag Canal from Filipstad to Karlskoga. A depth map/chart has been produced over the entire Bergslag Canal.
In Ullvettern, zander fishing is very popular. There are plenty of zander and zanders weighing up to 8 kg have been taken from the lake. The species stocks are zander, pike, perch, roach, whitefish and introduced gullspångsråder in Ullvettern. In Stora Grytingen and Lilla Grytingen, the species stocks are pike and perch.
