The lake is about 3 km long and 500 - 750 wide. The lake is crossed by the Hedenlundaån from the north and flows into Lake Långhalsen in the southeast at Ekenäs mill. The depth is mostly 4-5 m, some parts down to about 10 m. Quite clear at low flows. For sport fishing, pike, zander and perch are most popular. The shore on the southern side is mostly forested in other agricultural landscapes. The beaches are unfortunately overgrown with reeds all around with small exceptions.
