Vällsjön förvaltas av Lerums Sportfiske och Fiskevårdsförening och är ett utav föreningens ”put and takevatten” för regnbåge.

Föreningens medlemmar arbetar helt ideellt med skötsel och tillsyn samt daglig bevakning.
