Welcome to Sveg-Herrö FVO, one of Sweden's most varied fishing areas in the Norrland wilderness at its best.
Here we dare to offer magnificent fishing experiences, whether it's brook angling for small trout, ice fishing for whitefish and char, lake and pond fishing for trout, char and large perch, stream fishing for grayling and trout or angling for pike on the nationally famous Svegssjön.
In Sveg you have at least 200 kilometers of large forests in all directions, but the landscape is crossed by a well-branched network of forest roads, which makes it easy to reach all fishing waters, even if you have children with you. By the way, in our area we offer all children free fishing until they turn 18!
Wherever you go in our area, you are close to running water. Grayling and trout can be fished with a worm or fly in Lofsen, Ol Ols-ån, Låddan or Solnan. What few people don't know yet is that Ljusnan between Sveg and Byarforsen's power plants is one of the country's finest grayling waters, where a skilled fly fisherman can land 5-6 grayling weighing between one and two kilos in a few hours! The fact that there are also plenty of large trout weighing several kilos here doesn't make matters any worse.
Hundsjön and Hocksjön are our two paradise lakes, with excellent stocks of char and trout. Ideal fishing even in winter, with the best chances of catching really big fish on the first and last ice, but with good chances of catching them throughout the winter.
As you can see on the map on the fishing card, there are also a large number of lakes and ponds with stocks of salmonids. Stocked trout or char can be found in addition to Hundsjön and Hocksjön, also in Skrattabborrtjärn, Vargknättjärn and Stråsjön. And if you are looking for rainbow trout, then Digertjärn is the place to fish.
Several boats are available for rent from the fishing conservation association, in Ljusnan, Hundsjön, Hocksjön, and in Stråsjön. You can get keys and instructions at Statoil in Sveg. We wish you excellent fishing and wonderful nature experiences.
In return for your loan of our beautiful nature, we expect you to leave it in the same condition you found it! We will also be happy if you report any big fish you catch!
