Anten

Anten is a typical West Swedish clearwater lake whose beaches often consist of swallowed moraine. The area closest to the lake consists mostly of mixed forests with a large part of oak. 37% of the shoreline mostly in the northern part of the lake consists of agricultural land. The water supplied to Anten comes via small streams and rivers from a basin which is 11 times larger than the surface of the lake. The discharge of the lake at the southernmost end of the lake is regulated by an amplitude of 0.5 meters. The outflow flows via Ålandasjön to Mjörn and further into Säveåns water system, which opens into Göta Älv in Gothenburg. Another is a very fishy lake with about 18 different species of fish. The perch is dominant but it is also well-liked with pike, siklooja, gös och mört. Brax, lake and eel are other common fish species.
