Stömne FVOF gränsar i nordväst till glasskogens naturreservat. Området består av många sjöar, allt från små tjärnar till större sjöar, med djup upp till 30 meter. Gädda, abborre, sik och mört dominerar. Vandringsleder går genom Området med möjligheter för övernattning i vindskydd. Många sjöar når man med bil. Naturen är storslagen och väldigt kuperat. Båtar finns att hyra i de större sjöarna. Mycket hög vattenkvalite.
