Norsjö Sportfiskeklubbs syfte är att befrämja sportfiske och fiskevård, bidra till fiskets utveckling som sport och rekreationsform, arrangera sportfisketävlingar samt att delta.

Föreningen har två put & take-vatten där fisk planteras ut 2 ggr/år. (Kattöggeltjärn och Övre Bjärnstavatjärn)

Klubben arrenderar även flugfiskevatten både i sjö och strömmande vatten,

Dessutom är klubben en aktiv tävlingsfiskeklubb som arrangerat flertalet SM i mete och pimpel. Varje år arrangeras en stor pimpeltävling, Norrdonsnappet, på Norsjön samt flera mindre tävlingar. På sommaren arrangeras varje år Norsjö metevecka. t.ex.
