Harefjorden is located between Säffle in the south and Glafsjorden in the north, which then runs up to Arvika. Harefjorden is best known for its rich supply of zander, but perch and pike are also available.
There are boat ramps along the entire length of the lake and through the lock in Säffle there is a connection to Lake Vänern.
