Important information about Västra Ingsjön.
Exploratory fishing of perch and pike from Västra Ingsjön has shown elevated levels of PFAS. In consultation with the County Administrative Board of Västra Götaland and the National Food Agency, the municipalities of Härryda, Mark and Mölndal have developed local recommendations for the consumption of fish from the lake. The recommendation is that the general public should not eat fish from Lake Västra Ingsjön more than 2-3 times a year. This applies to all groups in society.
Please note that the dietary recommendations only apply to Västra Ingsjön and not to Kalven, Östra Ingsjön or Oxsjön where elevated levels of PFAS have not been measured in fish.
Västra & Östra Ingsjön are easy accessible to get to by car. They are located along the road between Lindome and Hällingsjö.
Mörtsjön is also easy to get to. It is close to the road between Härryda and Hällingsjö.
Oxsjön is located a few hundred meters from the main road between Kungsbacka and Hällingsjö.
Änkatjärn is located between Oxsjön and Östra Ingsjön
Lindemeån is protected for fishing (Does not apply to members of Mölndals Sportfiskeforening)
In all other running waters fishing is not allowed
