Lelång is an approximately 5000 ha and 50 km long lake in northwestern Dalsland and southwestern Värmland. The lake is part of the Dalsland Canal lake system. The lake has undergone intensive fishing and water conservation work, including large stocking of gullspång trout, salmon and Vättern char. This work has made the lake well known as a very good fishing water in sport fishing circles. Rice traps are placed in various places in the lake to improve perch fishing. Lelånggen today is divided into 2 fish conservation areas, Northern and Southern Lelånggen.
