About the water

Description

Welcome to Lake Verkasjön, which is part of the Verkeån Nature Reserve. It is one of the few lakes in the east of Sweden of about 8 hectares.

The lake is home to species such as pike, perch, roach, bream and tench. The lake is surrounded by forest and pastures.

There are many hiking trails here that lead to, among other things, the waterfall in Hallamölla and Christinehof Castle. Keep in mind that the lake is located in a nature reserve and special rules apply. Information signs are available at the parking lot.
