The club was founded in 1954 and was originally called Asby sportfiskeklubb but changed its name in 1997 to Asby Torpa sportfiskeklubb. The association has about 45 members. Most members fish in Lake Sommen. We are one of the associations around Lake Sommen that has an agreement with Sommens Fiskevårdsområde.
