Bjärsens fishing conservation area was formed in 1980. The purpose of the operation is to coordinate fishing and fisheries conservation and to promote the common interests of fishing right holders.

Fishing is allowed to the public through the sale of fishing permits. Fishing is then carried out based on the regulations that apply to the practice of fishing.
