Giertsbäckens fiskevårdsområde was formed in 2014. The association manages the fisheries within the Giertsbäckens fiskevårdsområde. The area consists of joint fisheries within the Bergnäs, Forsbacka, Hölidens and Klippens skifteslag within Sorsele municipality in Västerbotten County. The purpose is to coordinate fishing operations and fisheries management, to promote the common interests of fishing right holders, taking into account the regulations that apply to fishing, and to allow fishing to the public.
