Illeråssjöns FVOF was formed in the 1930s and has now been reactivated in 2024. A common endeavor was to care for and preserve the fish stock in the lake for the households of adjacent farms. During the first years, the management focused on fish care in the form of liming, clearing to improve the fish's environments and their resting places. Today's management is largely focused on the development of recreational fishing in the lake. The association's fish care is carried out today with the same basic purpose as before; to promote the conditions for recreational fishing and work for healthy fish care that benefits the fish stock.
