Miens Fiskevårdsområdesförening, Miens FVOF, was formed on 27/4 1989. The fishing area is organized as a non-profit association. The number of holders of fishing rights is approximately 100 people, in addition there are a smaller number of holders of fishing rights according to tradition. Miens Fiskevårdsområde includes Lake Mien, Mieån in Kronoberg County and adjacent catchment areas: Drevån, Bastaremålaån, Lunkån, Lunksjön, Agnagölen and Gåragölen. Miens FVOF has the task of promoting fishing and handling issues related to fishing in Mien and associated waters.
