Nedre Ammeråns FVOF

The Lower Ammerån Fishing Conservation Area is a member of the Swedish Association of Fishing Water Owners. The Swedish Association of Fishing Water Owners is a nationwide interest organization for the country's owners and managers of individual fishing waters.

Within the fishing conservation area, we conduct active fishing conservation to ensure good fishing both in summer and winter. In the Ammerån, restoration of environments affected by flotation is underway within the Ecostreams for LIFE project through restoration measures such as opening channels that have been blocked since flotation, installing spawning gravel, re-establishing freshwater pearl mussels, overhauling road drums in tributaries, etc. These measures may affect fishing in the river. For current information about ongoing work within the project, please contact our contact person for the fishing conservation area. Fish are continuously released into the ponds, both fish ready for the winter season and smaller fish for growth into semi-wild fish.
