Fishing within Ormsjöortens fiskevårdsområde [OOFVO] is managed by Ormsjöortens fiskevårdsområdersförening [OOFVOF]. There are a number of fishing inspectors within the area who, among other things, act as fishing license inspectors. All fishing inspectors are appointed by the County Administrative Board.

Ormsjöortens fiskevårdsområde [OOFVO] is located in Dorotea municipality in southern Lapland within the Långseleån and Rörströmsälven catchment areas. The area begins approximately 24 km northwest of the town of Dorotea and continues 20-30 km northwest along the Seven Rivers Road towards Borgafjäll. The villages of Västra Ormsjö, Östra Ormsjö, Barnäs and Lövstrand are located within the area.
