Rämshyttans FVOF

The fisheries conservation area was formed in 1986 as a reorganization of the previous fisheries conservation association. In 2011, the area was expanded to include the lakes Tunsnäs-Långsjön and Tunsan. However, crayfish fishing was not included in this expansion. The fisheries conservation area consists of 63 lakes and ponds over 1 ha, which in total provide 1650 ha of water that the association manages in addition to the flowing waters.

Rämshyttans fisheries conservation area (fvo) is managed by Rämshyttans fisheries conservation association (fvof). The association consists of approximately 650 fishing right owners who have fishing rights via approximately the same number of properties. You cannot become a member of the association in any other way than by owning a property with fishing rights within the fisheries conservation area.

The association holds an annual general meeting at which decisions are made about the composition of the board, fisheries conservation measures and other matters common to the fishing right owners. The activities carried out by the association include:

  • Sale of fishing licenses and administration of fishing license certificates.
  • Fish stocking
  • Fishing supervision
  • Physical restoration of watercourses in particular
  • Trial fishing and stock monitoring
  • Active work with adaptive fishing regulations
  • Services that facilitate fishing
