Säters fvof was formed in 1989 and is one of four major fisheries management areas in Säters municipality. We manage over 60 waters, ranging from lakes and streams to small ponds and streams, as well as two put-and-take waters with rainbow trout (trout if available) in Björshyttsjön and Myggtjärnen.

The association's ambition is to facilitate public fishing by selling fishing licenses, organizing activities, increasing accessibility and service, for example with fishing piers, fishing sheds, fire pits and informing interested parties about fishing and fish. We also work with fishing and water management measures in the form of removing migration barriers and restoring water environments.
